If you suspect that a teen is a victim of domestic violence, check for any of these signs:
- Bruises or other signs of physical injury.
- Truancy, missing classes, failing classes, withdrawing from after-school activities, or dropping out of school.
- Withdrawal from friends, family, or social activities.
- Sudden changes in mood or personality.
- Beginning to use alcohol or drugs.
- Feeling that pregnancy will help her get out of a bad situation.
- Crying for no apparent reason.
